 “The things that I say to others and counsel, I do not do” – St. Romanos Melodos

 All-Holy Savior of the world, just as you showed yourself and raised human nature

which laid in trespasses, in the same way mystically show yourself, forbearing one, for you are Compassionate.

And as fallen as I am in many sins, I entreat you to raise me up,

Because the things that I say to others and counsel, I do not do.

For I implore you, give me the opportunities for correction

and attend to me with the supplications of the Ever-Virgin and Theotokos,

do not deprive me of your sympathetic glance

O Judge most righteous.
